3. Social Impact Project 4. PCMA Industry Research Partnership Our social impact project includes formal frameworks for planning, delivery and measurement to maximise the positive (and minimise the negative) impact of events held in Sydney and create change for the better. As part of the project with partners #MEET4IMPACT, in FY2023-2024 we developed our Social Impact Strategy and Action Plan based on a series of informal and formal interviews and case studies with clients, delegates and stakeholders alike. BESydney and PCMA Foundation released the final report of a groundbreaking global study: Advancing Women in Business Events in May, calling for the industry to be part of a more inclusive future. The global study focused on the advancement of women in the industry, specifically the gender disparity in leadership, despite being a female-dominated field and provided practical actions for change. PCMA has committed to continue this foundational study to benchmark and track progress.
